Bad Golf Swing Upsetting Your Scores?

Golf is a wonderful game, played by many throughout the world I think the attraction of the game for me is that you can build the best golf swing ever, but you can never beat the game.

You will have your good days and certainly you will have your bad days but it is the constant challenge that golf puts up to me that keeps me coming back. Time and time again friends have thrown their clubs in the back of the car vowing never to return until they sort their golf swing out.

But they are usually the first ones on the tee next week, golf provides a constant challenge of weather, course conditions and nerve that keeps enthusiasts like me coming back for more.

How To Develop A Sound Golf Swing

The problem with starting out golf is that there is so much to think of and to buy. First there are the clubs themselves, then a bag to carry them around in. You then need something to hit and quite often lose, the golf balls, then of course you need to be prepared for the weather so you need shirts, jumpers and of course a wet suit just in case it rains.

Once you have all that then you may start to think about having some golfing lessons to learn about the golf swing itself.

A short course of lessons with your club pro is a great way to get started in golf. This will give you a sound grasp of the fundamentals but only of you practice to work into your game the methods and tricks your pro is teaching you. By the way try to book a course of lessons that includes the pro taking you out on the course, at least once and buy some golf swing videos to help back up your learning.

Driving ranges and practice areas are essential parts of any golf club but there is never any substitute for experience on the course. Course management is a subject that will soon rear its head and is essential to sharpen up your game. Your pro will probably get you to play shots from various parts of the course and explain the pros and cons of what club and type of shot to play, very valuable information.

Once your course of lessons is over however it is over to you to keep up the development work on your golf swing.

Most people do not want to keep affording golf lessons but fortunately there are cheaper alternatives to use in the form of books and videos and the odd golf swing tip. You can always go back to the pro at a later date to iron out specific problems under an experienced eye.

A golf swing book is great because being lightweight you can take it to the driving range and practice that particular swing point the author is explaining to you first hand. Videos are great mediums for putting words into actions and frankly we golfers are spoilt for choice in this area but choice is always a good thing.

Hopefully this article has given you an idea of how to move your game on and make your introduction to golf a less frustrating and more enthralling experience.

Golf Training Will Develop Your Game

If you want to progress your golf game, it is necessary you practice golf with targets in mind. These aims will help you to develop, depending on your ability level. There are various goals and targets for different level players and to break into 100 (27 handicapper) you will need to hit at least one green hit out of every seven approaches. So as to break 97 (17 handicapper) it is necessary to have one fairway hit out of three drives and last but not least, to break 80 (7 handicapper) it is necessary to have five up and downs out of ten chips. To reach all these goals it is necessary to have yourself set personal aims.

Golf training is rather more intricate than most laymen are aware of, though several think it cannot be that big a deal. However much you think you know, you may not know it all when it comes to the rules of golf. Since the rules are there, make time to learn them.

Secrets of golf, if known and applied well, are bound to lead you to the top of the game. Below are listed some tips that can change your outlook on golf: Study to arm yourself with knowledge of golfing and its rules. Simple though this may be, it would appear as though it were a secret based on the little regard shown for it even amongst golfers.

Another secret tip is learning how to move your body when hitting the ball - watch a few golf swing videos to learn more. More control and force is exerted on the ball this way. Your need to hit the ball over a greater distance can be met by much practice, using this technique.

On coming across a certain shot that appears to be difficult, take a break to think about it. Specific needs sometimes may call for you to try something new, but as much as possible try to stay with the one you used before. In addition, it is not a necessity to feel the power of the stroke. Remembering simply that your stroke transmits the required energy into the ball, your swing should be easy.

Your balance may more or less be the chief key to a great shot and you must always fight to retain it. Do not permit yourself to feel uncomfortable as a consequence of anything you can exercise control over.

A Good Golf Bag Creats for a Pleasurable Round of Golf

Golfers take their game seriously whether they are amateurs or professionals.  Most golfers play eighteen holes of golf at one time, and they need to have a whole range of supplies with them on a round that might last up to four hours.  You can get from New York to Chicago in less time than it takes to play a round of golf.  The club house with supplies of food and golf equipment might be a great distance from the holes at the farthest end of the golf course.  If a golfer loses a ball, he or she cannot just run back to the pro shop to buy another ball.  A hungry or thirsty golfer cannot stop play to get a bottle of water or a sandwich to continue play.

The golfer carries his food and water supplies in the golf bag in order to avoid delay or cessation of play.  The game of golf is played according to strict protocols and leaving the course to return later is not acceptable except for dangerous conditions like a thunderstorm.  Besides food, water and golf balls, a golfer takes a wide variety of clubs in the golf bag.  The dedicated golfer has several wood clubs in the golf bag to hit the distance shots, a selection of irons for the fairways and traps.  Every golfer has at least one putter and this must go along for the full eighteen holes in the golf bag. Some golfers may get through 18 holes with the same ball, but other golfers may lose several balls.  Some golfers may lose several balls in one lake.  All golfers take some extra balls in their golf bag.

All the necessary equipment loaded into a good golf bag is heavy so a smart golfer does not want to increase the weight by selecting a heavy bag.  A good golf bag will have many convenient compartments, but it will not weigh too much and add additional weight to the load.  Golfers want to have easy access to their equipment so the way a golf bag is organized can make access to the necessary items easier. If a golfer just hit his ball into a tree, the player is likely irritated and frustrated.  This is not the time or place to search through a big bag for a new ball. That disappointment may just let the golfer back into the tree for a 2nd time.

How to Get Good Golf Techniques

There are several stations where you can get golf techniques. The first place that you could look is your local bookstore. Even though golf is an outdoor sport that requires you to be active and take part in it, you can get many golf tips from many different books. Books on golf tips are great ideas because you can read through all of the different golf tips and then go to try them out on your own. If you wanted to, you could even take the book with you while you were golfing, and that way if you had any questions about what you should do, you could refer to the golf tips listed in the book that you had read.

Another good place to get golf tips is to rent or buy a golfing video. These videos will give you plenty of good tips because they will show you how to do certain things while you are on the golf course. A video that contains golf tips is a great idea because you are going to be able to really watch someone golf and see what they are doing. You can bring your clubs in front of the television and practices, very carefully, as you watch your golf tips on the video.

Another place, and perhaps the best place, to get golf tips is to consult someone who knows about the game. See if you can make golf lessons, or achieve a private lesson or a trainer. This is perhaps the best way to learn how to golf because you can actually go out on the golf course with your trainer or your lesson and be able to golf in front of them, so that they can help you with the things you are doing wrong, and tell you what you are doing right.

Hypnosis and Golf -- Are Your Partners Using It Against You?

In their hunger for a lower score, golfers will resort to almost anything.  Some focus not just on their game but on winning.

Hypnosis has become a mental training “secret weapon” for some knowledgeable golfers.  It can be a great way to develop concentration and clarity.

There’s a under aspect of hypnosis that I have to make you aware of.

It’s great to use it to improve your own game, but some people go farther and, how to put it delicately, “help” the rest of the foursome by wielding the power of a certain type of hypnosis.

When someone uses hypnosis this way, an adversary who may be may find themselves mysteriously missing shots they normally make, spending a lot of time in the rough, making poor club choices, deciding to try to carry the water when they shouldn’t, or making a lot other such mistakes.

There are any number of times over the course of 18 holes where a golfer makes decisions that affect their performance.

Not only that, but the difference between a good shot and a lousy one is extremely small.  The least imperfection ruins a shot and costs at least a stroke.

I’ll leave it to you to make your own decision about the right and wrong of this, but a specific style of hypnosis does give someone the tools to affect their opponent's state of mind as well as their decisions.  Some say “All’s fair in love and war”.  Maybe that’s true in golf as well.

Now you can’t totally control someone’s mind.  You can’t influence them to do something they find morally offensive.

But you are able to put out suggestions or create doubt in such way that their thought process is definitely affected.

You may have played with a jerk that used tactics like carrying on a mildly heckling conversation while you’re addressing your tee shot, or moving suddenly at the edge of your field of vision while you're putting or other dumb tricks like that to try to put you off your game.

Wouldn’t you like to have a way to repay the favor?  That’s what hypnosis can give you.

Conversational hypnosis works especially well for this type of influence.  Using this method of hypnosis there’s no predetermined script.  You definitely don't swing a watch in front of the subjects eyes.

Rather, you just talk, but in certain way.  Once you discover how, it’s no problem to induce an “awake trance”.  Then you can weave your suggestions and embedded commands into the flow of talk.  This type of hypnosis is a most powerful use of words.

A great benefit about mastering this form of hypnosis to help your golf game is that once you learn it you can apply it for anything.

People very successfully use hypnosis to improve their relationships, change habits, and attain goals – you can use it for anything where you'd like to harness the power of the subconscious (your own or another person's).

If you’d like to read more about how this hypnotic method can improve your game, click here to visit Hypnosis for Golf.

Women's Golf: Great Suggestions For Improving Your Swing

Playing golf gets better if you improve your putting abilities. While it may seem impossible, simply practicing and working to improve a few minor things will greatly improve your skills. After you have grasped what you have to do, you should master the art through repeated practice. For a memorable long shot, it is critical that you have excellent putting skills. Purchase ladies golf club sets to help with your putting.

Which skill is needed to be practiced to improve the game alters from one player to the other, but it is important to remember that without practice, you can not make any improvement. If you want to get the best of golf, the general rule is to focus on three specific areas of the game. The first skill that you focus on is improving your swing style, so that the ball is in contact with the center of the club head. Hitting the center is critical, or you would never master the art of putting. You simply cannot hit the ball from the side of the club head and expect it to go straight. All you get is loads of frustration at seeing things going wrong.

Once you have learnt the skill of hitting the ball by the center of the club, you need to make sure that you hit it in a straight line towards the target. Thus, when you are aiming to make the ball move towards the lake, which is 2 feet away from you, your aim should not be targeted towards the tree beside it. You might find this rather odd, but not many people know how to make the ball hit the specific target. They then stand around and wonder why they are missing their shot. When you miss your target by a tiny fraction, your putting skills are under question as the ball has deviated from its desired path.

This aspect of the game should be practiced more. It is important to realize that a slight miss means a missed shot and an increase in your handicap. Only more practice can help you overcome this problem. Interestingly you can improve on this area by getting a small home putting kit and practicing at home or even your office. However, going to the driving range is not going to help you here so avoid them if possible while you are working on this skill. Watch these helpful women's golfing tips.

Learning how to add speed to your club head as it comes into contact with the ball is the second skill you have to master while improving your putting skills. Slowing down the club just prior to hitting the ball is a common error while playing the game. This usually causes a fall in momentum which disables the ball to hit the target. This skill is more than adequate to improve your putting skills. Shop for ladies golf clubs online to ensure you are getting a good deal.

My Golf Game- Effective Ideas For Developing Your Golf Handicap

When you learn too improve your handicap, you are sure to improve your game of golf too. But believe that this can not depend on the score of only one of your rounds. For instance, learning your handicap is impossible after an individual game of a 10 over par. Nonetheless, once you have enjoyed several games it is feasible to start making out what it is. For you left handed golfers you can buy left handed golf club sets from many online stores or auctions.

Another essential note is the common score that you have is still more often than not not your handicap. To explain more, a golfer who has an average score of 10 over par would by and large have a handicap ranging between 7 to 9. This signifies that their correct scoring would differ and depend on the real courses encountered and their matching ratings.

Pro golf players who are left handed, feel that one of the best ways to improve your handicap is with enhanced putting and wedge skills. Here are some golf tips. If you are can drive the golf ball well, but fall down on your putting then you are going to be looking at a very high handicap for the rest of your life. If you just center on bettering your putting skills, it might reduce your handicap and improve your popular playing capability. Between the emphasis on the wedge or putting, you should by and large concentrate more on your putting since virtually all holes are going to need to be putted while not all will need a wedge shot.

Usually players find that as they try to improve their putting and wedge strategies, their long drive capabilities also improve simultaneously. While this may not always be practical, just remember that as you improve your shorter shots, your talent for long strokes also improve alongside. If you use the right form for the shorter strokes, you would soon discover that your scoring is displaying a marked improvement, and this of necessity would improve your long strokes as well. This can make a huge impact on your handicap since you can see a huge difference in your placing.

Another area which needs your attention is to have lots of self-assurance about your capabilities, as you ought to have seen individuals who blunder and falter land up making more mistakes in whatever they do. They may be an expert in their field, but without self-confidence, they ordinarily make small mistakes just because they are nervous. Before you can dream of improving your handicap, make sure that you are not making these errors simply because you lack self-assurance. You can buy left handed golf club sets online.

Acknowledge what you are good at and concentrate on it, and this can make you a far more confident player. While you know that you are going to produce errors, you should always strive to bear it is a learning process. This method would assist you learn all that need to improve your round as well as boost your self-confidence levels. This, along with the other points given above should let you have the ideal handicap as well as improving your game. These strategies can be used regardless how long you have been playing golf, even those participants who have played for years can always use a bit of improvement.

Use Toski's Golf Tips to Cut Strokes

How to Break 80

Every successful golf instructor brings something different to the table. Take Bob Toski. Bob is a top instructor. He started the first golf school for Golf Digest in 1971. He conducted schools in Japan, Canada, and the United States. And he opened the first Golf Learning Center in the world with his partner Gary Battersby. Ranked 15th by his peers in Golf Digest’s list of the 50 Greatest Golf Teachers, Toski has a unique teaching philosophy and approach to the game.

Unlike other teachers, Toski stresses "discovery golf" to cut strokes from your golf handicap. He believes that confidence and awareness are the keys to great golf. He also believes that you must become your own coach to play your best. Toward that end, he teaches students in his golf lessons how to gain swing awareness and learn to reduce swing interference. His philosophy is best summed up in his colorful sayings, which succinctly capture his guiding principles. Below are some of those sayings and the rationale behind them.

* An ounce of touch is worth a ton of brawn.
New golfers do not understand the concept of learning the game from the green back. They grab the driver, go to the first tee, and start wailing way. If they make contact, they hit the ball all over the place. After a while, they get aggravated. They get a lot of airmail and no zip code, another of Toski’s colorful sayings. Start with learning to putt first. Work on aligning the putterface with the ball and the target line. Look for golf tips that teach you how to do this.

To improve, use two shafts to check alignment and ball position. Starting with straight, four-foot putts, place one shaft on the target line directly behind the hole. Place the second one on the target line directly behind the ball. Use the shafts to line up the putt and square the putter face to the target line. This breeds confidence. Work back to eight- and 12-footers.

* Control distance and direction to achieve perfection.
Balance and rhythm are key elements of a good swing. They’re more important than getting into certain positions on the course. The key to controlling distance and direction are in the hands and feet. The hands are the holders and the feet are the controllers for timing and balance. Train your hands to work properly throughout the swing. Eliminate herky-jerky motions and let your feet support the swing’s timing.

* You need traction for action.
To hit good middle iron shots, move to the ball first. Then, move laterally through it, not the other way around. In addition, play the ball just forward of center and bend from the hips, so you are hitting from a solid base. On the downswing shift your lower body toward the target, so your hands and arms learn to square the club at impact. In short, lead your middle iron downswing with your lower body while keeping grip pressure light but constant.

* Swing on the line of play and you’ll find your way.
Long irons are great for tight fairways on short holes. Tee the ball close to the ground, so it is almost like hitting the ball from a perfect lie. This enables you to use the club the way it was designed and the way it is taught in golf lessons. Be aware of your hands and arms as you control the clubface through impact. Also, swing the club back on slight inside arc. If you can’t get enough clubhead speed to get the ball airborne with a long iron, switch to hybrid.

* Feel the force, do not force the feel
To play with the “big boys,” you need to hit for distance. How do you do that? You must create force with your clubhead. If you are a smaller person, use the quickness of your body to offset the lack of size and strength. Below is a good drill to teach this principle:

Place two shafts along the target line—one in front of the ball, the other behind it. Place a golf ball just inside each shaft. Then hit some shots, swinging the clubhead over both balls. This drill encourages you to swing the club from inside to inside, with the club rotating and swinging naturally.

Toski’s sayings are colorful and memorable. They’re also great reminders of key golf principles taught in his golf lessons. Keep them in mind next time you’re at the range or on the course. They will help you cut strokes from your scores and your golf handicap.

Jack Moorehouse is the author of the best-selling book "How To Break 80 And Shoot Like The Pros." The Desktop Golf Assistant

Golf is massively popular and as you would expect there are thousands and thousands of sites about it.The difficulty for the amateur golfer is that there is just too much info.

When you go to a search engine they will often give you far more information than you can use.

To show this I have just done a random search for "buy new seven iron" - no quotes. The return is 18,600,000 web pages.

This is of little or no assistance.  I am suffering with information overload, particularly as a quick look through the first page of websites suggests a lot of narrow websites rather then a the general overview retailer that i was hoping for

As another example I have tried "golf course in Arizona".This time we get 3,400,000 web pages returned.

It seemed to me that I should be able to reduce the overload of Google information and find a solution for myself.

One day I was struck by the solution (not a golf ball).

What I did was to create my own golf toolbar. If you are not sure toolbars sit as a line of icons at the top of your browser.

In the toolbar I put in my favorite golfing websites so that whenever I wanted golf information it was there at the top of my screen every time I was online. The result was I could visit my favorite course finder, retailer and news center as I wanted. The result was to arrow the choice and remove the information overload.

What it means is that the best websites are right in front of me all the time and only occasionally do I have to go to Google.

I thought that it would be a good idea to share my golf toolbar and so here it is.  It is for anyone to have a look at and download if they want. The toolbar downloads quickly and is guaranteed to be free from any spyware.

At the moment it has a top golf store, training aid site, news section and a weather forecast, games, utilities and a holiday or vacation organiser.

The Golf toolbar.

I think its very handy and hope that many more will. There is no charge though I should mention that if you should purchase through the retailer on the toolbar I do receive a commission.

The toolbar will be useful for you I hope.

The Golf News toolbar.

Keeping Your Golf Warm This Winter

As winter is in full swing and probably one of the coldest for a while, a lot of people do tend to want to stay indoors a lot. It just feels very depressing to get out of the house and go and play a game of golf. But this is not the only harmful problem the cold weather brings. It can also end up affecting your overall game because things such as the grip on the golf clubs will become a bit of a problem. Below are a few tips that will help you out when you are looking to better your game in the winter.

Keeping your hands at the right temperature.
The game of golf is mainly about your hands, you have to use them to pick up the ball and strike the ball, so make sure they are the correct temperature and not too cold. As you could potentially lose a lot of feel on the shorter shots.

Keep your spikes in tip top shape
This is very important as it could affect your strike, especially if the weather is rainy and windy. Make sure that your spikes are not worn down.

Take a bigger Club
This is one of the most important tips as when you hit the ball in the winter it does not go as fast as it would do in the summer months. So get yourself a bigger club that is ok for the winter and will help you get the greatest possible shots.

Keep it Dry
If you want to get the best grip and the best contact when you strike a ball then keep your clubs and putters dry at all times. They are bound to get wet and moist in the winter months. So to avoid disappointment in your game you should prepare well before.

Do not just use one Golf Ball
As already mentioned, we know that balls travel further in heat. So try not to use just one single ball during your game. Warming up and alternating balls will make your shot go a lot further.

There are many more tips which can be used but the above should set you up for a good game of golf during the winter months. Remember to keep on practicing your game, I see a lot of people stop during the chilly months and then when the summer comes they become rusty and start losing their skill set.

Where To Find Free Golf Tips Online

People have been fascinated with mastering the often frustrating game of golf ever since the game was invented back in the 15th century. The modern game of golf evolved into what we know it as today since 1750. But mastering the game of golf is still as difficult as ever, even though golf equipment technology and teaching techniques have improved greatly.

Fortunately, nowadays we have access to golf tips online through the Internet and golf tips newsletters. I have played golf for over 30 years, but I struggled to master the game until I began researching online. With the many golf resources you can find online, it is now easier to discover the little "secrets" that can make a big difference with your game.

There are also many first-rate paid products, like golf instructional videos, golf swing training aids, and even a few golf e-books that can help you master the game. But, you can also find some valuable free golf tips online as well. Take into account that you will find many different techniques - especially as regards to the transition from back-swing to downswing and the golf grip.

Just try out the different techniques and see what works for you. The golf swing is a fairly complex movement and there are several styles; from the traditional swing to the newer stack and tilt golf swing. Some online golf tips tell you to grip the club tightly, firmly or even loosely. These terms are quite subjective as they don't really tell you the amount of pressure to use - so just experiment until you find the right grip - I prefer a firm grip."

When finding golf tips online, remember that there is more to golf than just the golf swing. Look for resources that show you the most comprehensive golf tips online. Probably one of the most important aspects of golf is the mental game of golf; which is often ignored. You want free golf tips? First, learn to dominate your inner game of golf.

It is important to know what the right golf equipment is for your type of game (golf clubs and balls.) If you are a novice, look for clubs that are matched for the beginner golfer as they are more forgiving to miss-hits. Buy a driver and fairway woods with a graphite shaft, large titanium head, and perimeter weighting. For the irons, select iron shafts for accuracy, more sole weighting, and wider soles for easier playability. For beginners or high handicap golfers, play a two-piece, mid spin, firm feel golf ball.

Look for golf tips online that cover the whole aspect of golf. Things you need to learn include the grip; setup and stance; backswing, transition, and downswing; driving, fairway shots, chipping, putting, and bunker shots; course management; how to fix problems like the slice, hook, and pull shot; and the different trouble shots you will face - deep rough, hill lies, playing into the wind, etc.

Of course, you can pay a professional golf instructor to learn all these things, but you will end up paying a fortune for dozens of lessons. I would recommend starting out to learn as much as possible with free online golf tips. You could then take a few personal golf lessons and then visit the driving range to practice what you have been taught. Finally, get out on the golf course and play a round of golf - at least twice a week. Remember, to master the game of golf, you need to practice, practice, practice!

Causations to have a Golf Travel Case

Why should you have a golf travel case? In the first instance, it is significant to remind that with airline regulations, you will must check your golf clubs if you need to have them on a journey with you. With the many different travel destinations now having golf as something for you to do on your travels, buying a golf travel case is a good idea if you intend to take them on an airplane. If you travel without a golf travel case and you are simply using your golf bag, there is a great possibility that your golf bag will break, or that your clubs will fall out of it. Hypnosis and Golf -- Dominate Before You Even Touch a Club

Using hypnosis for golf can be your new weapon on the course. Hypnosis directs your mental focus and harnesses the power of your other-than-conscious. Intense concentration under pressure characterizes every great golfer.

Tiger Woods is a great example.

The unusual thing is that even though everyone acknowledges that the game of golf is mainly a mental game very few people do anything to improve their concentration.

A major reason why is that there hasn’t been any good way to do that until now.

Dr. Erickson developed an entirely new hypnotic technique years ago.  His method has been highly developed since before until today remained known only to a few because there was no easy way to learn.

Thins are very different now with the development of a new program. This course, The Power of Conversational Hypnosis, makes these techniques available to anyone.

We’ve all hit a great shot on the course.  Personally it's a rare event.  Just hitting that shot proves that we’re able to play excellent golf.  The problem is hitting those great shots consistently.

Hypnosis can help you develop that consistency.

Any great golfer talks about the importance of imagining exactly how you want the shot to go before you even approach.  Hypnosis takes that visualization a step further and cements the best outcome in your subconscious.   The probability of hitting a great shot improves tremendously.

Aside from helping you clearly imagine the perfect shot, hypnosis can keep uncertainty and doubt out of your mind.  Concerns about a given shot or your ability to your ability to carry the water hinder your chances of success.

Hypnosis let's you maintain a clear focus.

If you want to find out more about how this hypnosis can save your strokes, click here to visit Hypnosis for Golf.

Or if you just want to find a great hypnosis course, click here to go to The Power of Conversational Hypnosis.

The sooner you start honing your mental game the sooner your golfing buddies will be buying your drinks on the 19th hole.

Golf Accessories Every Golfer Needs

One golf accessory that no golfer should go without is proper sun protection. Since the game of golf is almost always outside, one needs to protect themselves from the sun. A plain golf hat, sunglasses, and a high SPF sunscreen are the perfect tools to cut down the chance of cancer and heat stroke.

Another very important golf accessory is a big water bottle or jug. Hydration is extremely significant when a golfer is working the holes for several hours in the sun. Another great golf accessory to accompany the water bottle is a cooler bag that can be easily carried. This will ensure that your water is cold no matter how long it sits in the sun.

It may seem silly to dress up your golf clubs, but it is actually a very wise idea. Golf club covers are an ingenious golf accessory because they protect one’s clubs from rust and bad weather. They also keep your clubs looking brand new.

An common, but quite benefitted golf accessory is a yardage finder golfscope. It is a digital laser that helps find precise ranges. Using this golf accessory also reduces the number of swings one must take. It is a great tool to get you swinging just like the professionals.

Make your golf game fun and easier to keep track of. A digital scorecard lets you input everyone’s score digitally. It keeps score accurately, so no one will get blamed for a faulty score. Most digital scorecards allow you to record more than one game; some may also give you a game review at the end of each game. Find one that comes with a clip for easy carrying.

If you do not usually get a golf cart, then a great golf accessory for you would be a rolling golf bag cart. This will take all the stress off your back. What fun is golf if you are in pain?

Rifle Flighted Shafts - Take Your Game to New Level with Rifle Flighted

Let's face it, as an advanced golfer, we continously monitoring our ball flight, trying to tweak it to get that extra edge.  It's one of many aspects of your game that can have a big affect on your improvement.Whether it's a lower trajectory to improve control or an increased trajectory to increase distance. Controlled ball flight is a a common thread to raising the overall level of your game and the Rifle Flighted shaft has been the select choice for many. Let's look at this great technology in more detail.

Rifle Flighted shaft was introduced through an exclusive technology called Flex Distribution Technology. This technology was then perfected on the PGA tour after working with players that use the shaft. PGA Tour players are great for having keen eyes and feel for their shafts and were instrumental in developing the final product. The shaft has become a premier iron shaft on the market.

Rifle Flighted shaft comes from the revolutionary concept introduced by Royal Precision shaft maker in 1998. Each shaft has an exaggerated change in kick point to manipulate a better ball flight based on loft. The longer irons have a lower kick point to promote better launch and higher ball flight and the shorter irons have a higher kick point to promote a lower trajectory with added control. Royal Precision worked this technology to perfection!

Common feedback from players that use the Rifle Flighted shaft is the better balance and more efficient energy transfer they experience. Although much of this feedback is subjective, the Flighted shaft continues to gain in popularity, especially for the better player. If feedback is any indication of success, the Rifle Flighted shafts is doing extraordinary.

Royal Precision Rifle shafts are one of the most played iron shafts on tour. Rifle shafts have recently been played by 10 of the world's top 20 ranked golfers! Rifle introduced flighted shafts after a successful launch on the European Tour. The Rifle Flighted shaft has not looked back since -- players continue to flock to this shaft.

Rifle Flighted shafts remain to be a very popular choice for iron shafts. Most of the loyal Rifle customers is the more educated, advanced golfer. These players understand what a shaft can do for their game and Rifle delivers the goods with their Flighted shaft!

Games Golfers Play

How to Break 80

Golfers like to play games during a match, especially those players with low golf handicaps. Some foursomes have a regular game whenever they get together and play. Others do not. Golf games add a little excitement to a match and pressures players to perform. They provide a chance to execute an adjustment learned in a golf lesson or execute a golf tip. And they offer a chance to win money, gain a free drink, or earn bragging rights. Many golf games involve putting.

Perhaps the all time favorite game is the Nassau. The Nassau, as explained by Brent Kelly, the golf guide at About.com, is one of the most popular golf tournament formats and golf bets. It is three tournaments or bets in one: the front nine, the back nine and the 18-hole scores all count as seperate tournaments or bets. In a Nassau tournament, the player (or team) winning the front nine wins a prize, the player (or team) winning the back nine wins a prize, and the player or team with the low 18-hole total wins a prize.

Below are some other popular golf games that you and your foursome may enjoy playing next time you’re out on the course.

Three-Putt Poker
On the first tee everyone throws a nominal amount of money in a pot and gets a playing card. Each time a golfer one-putts a green, he gets another card. Each time he three-putts, he adds money to the pot. At the end of nine holes, the golfer holding the best poker hand takes all the money and everyone re-antes for the second nine.

One-Hole Press
A press is a gambler’s mulligan. It’s a chance to salvage a hopeless match by starting a new wager. A one-hole press is like any other press, except that it expires at the end of the current hole rather than running to the end of the game. Terms and limitations, if any, should be settled at the beginning.

Saskatchewan
This is a putting game. If you are on the green and you have not putted yet and your ball lies farther from the hole than the length of the flagstick, you can yell "Saskatchewan".” If you then make the putt, everyone pays you a dollar. But if you three-putt, you pay everyone else three dollars. Some players know this game by different name, but names in golf don't matter that much.

Worst-Ball
This game is the opposite of best ball. If you or your partner does worse on a hole than both of your opponents, you lose a point. Worst ball can be played along side of best ball, where you get a point if you or you partner score lower than both of your opponents.

The Skins Game
One game made popular by television is Skins. It pits players in a type of match play in which each hole has a set value (usually in money or points). The player who wins the hole wins the “skin,” and whatever the skin is worth. Skins games are more dramatic than standard match play because holes are not halved. When players tie on a given hole, the value of the hole carries over and adds to the value of the following hole. The more ties, the greater the value of the skin and the bigger the eventual payoff.

Playing games with side bets adds a little extra to a golf match. Most golfers like to keep their bets to a minimum. Some players with low golf handicaps play for a little more. Nevertheless, golf games are a fun way to add a little zing to that regular golf date. They can also be golf lessons in themselves—thanks to the addition of a little pressure. There’s a wide range of golf games to choose from. But whichever game you play, try to keep it enjoyable and pleasant.

A Good Golf Club Review Can Make the Difference

Golf is a sport that is loved and adored by many people worldwide. What began as a great past time years ago has become the stuff that ESPN is made of. The love of hitting that small white ball has become one of the world’s greatest games. It ranks up there with baseball football and basketball. Purchasing a golf club or a set of golf clubs is an important decision. When looking into your next purchase, take your time and look around at various outlets but also take a look at a golf club review. This review will typically give you all the information you need about a particular golf club or set of clubs. It will tell you how sturdy the clubs are, how they performed in a game, as well as typical price range for the item.

You can find a golf club review in several golf magazines as well as online at Golf Digest and Golf. A golf club review can mean the difference in buying a quality club or a bad one. It will tell you which dealers have the highest quality products as well as which of them provide golf club fitting. A person who is writing a golf club review will individually test each product. They have first hand knowledge of how each club functions in the golfing environment. There are so many dealers of golf clubs and golfing items that it can be very hard to pick a dealer to purchase from.

You have the advantage when reading a golf club review of knowing that someone has tried the product you are looking at and their recommendations come from experience of using the product. You could even write a golf club review yourself on various websites. If you decide to do these make sure that you have personally tested the golf club that you are reviewing. If not then you’re not in a position to be an evaluator of that club. A good golf club review should have:

Type of Equipment = Is it a driver, wood, irons, wedges, or putter?
Who makes the club? What dealer is it?
Be sure your review is current. No one wants to read a review on a 1974 club.
Be specific and descriptive. Don’t just say “hey this is a great club”. Answer “why” it is a great club. What makes it so great. If it’s bad tell the reader why you feel it is a bad choice.
Be sure to get the most specific name of the product. Several club makers make different versions or models of a club. List the full make and model that you are talking about.

A good golf club review can mean the difference in a golfer buying a club or leaving it at the store. Consider each review carefully when weighing your decision. However, looking at one review is normally not enough. Do the research and see what several reviewers have said about the same product. Keep in mind these reviews are only the thoughts of the reviewer. A little time and research and you are sure to get the product that is right for you.

Discover The Steps To Improving Your Golf Swing Biomechanics

Perfect Golf Swing Biomechanis

Many things comprise golf swing biomechanics. We are going to enumerate these components in this article so that you can develop that model golf swing. It is important to be aware that just reading about golf swing biomechanics is not nearly enough; you will have to keep practicing what you have learnt both on the golf course and driving range.

Get someone to record your swing

The primary step is to determine the status of your current golf swing. One way to do this is to have a close friend or a coach record your golf swing. Ideally you should look to get this done on an actual golf course.

You can record the video of your swing on a driving range but this may not accurately depict what your golf swing is like on an actual course. You see, plenty of golfers swing slightly differently on the driving range than on the golf course. It is good to do it on the golf course so that you can do a better analysis and the best way to develop perfect golf swing biomechanics.

Take a video of your own golf swing
Take a closer look at your swing in the video and try uncover any specifc areas where you might be doing something incorrectly. Poor hitting and inaccuracy may be as a direct result of these particular areas. Studying the video will help you get started on modifying your golf swing.

Practice correctly
The third step you need to take in order to gain golf swing biomechanics is to actually practice your golf swing. The key is to ensure you practice correctly; it’s no use working on perfecting your bad habits.

Head back to the driving range and implement, one step at a time, the new things you have learnt. Practice at the driving range at least five times and go through 200 balls in each practice session. What you should start noticing is distinct improvements in your accuracy, distance and overall swing capability.

After sufficient practice sessions on the driving range, it is now time to test your improved golf swing out on the golf course. It would be good if you can have someone video your golf swing again. Observe your scores, your style and your ease of comfort at this session and compare it with the previous session.

Evaluate your swing in each video and check that the changes you have made have produced the correct results. Developing perfect golf swing biomechanics is about seeing your overall game consistently change for the better.

Golf Swing Tips to Better Your Golf Game.

Any golfer, whether experienced or not, you know how difficult it can be to improve golf game. If you are interested in learning about some of the best golf swing tips, here are a few that are very helpful and sure to better your game.

Use Your Body for Power

One of the very best golf swing tips is to use your body for power. Every good golfer already knows that power comes from the body and not from the arms, and anyone who tries to get power in their swing through their arms is not going to have much success.

This is an important tip to know because many people make the mistake of thinking that just because they are not that strong or because they have weak arms that they are not going to be able to hit the ball far, when really the power in your swing has nothing at all to do with your arms.

Keep Your Hands Low

Another of the best golf swing tips is to keep your hands low. Keeping your hands low will help to significantly improve your golf swing, and in particular limiting the height of the follow through will effectively reduce the height of your shots. The lower your hands are when you swing, the lower the ball flight and this is a really key point to remember.

A Repeating Golf Swing

The key to golf is being able to repeat the same motion consistently over and over again. Of course this is easier said than done but that is why you see so many offering tips. If you are able to build a repeating golf swing you will be able to score 10 times better than you do right now

Sky Caddie

If in the past, golfers depended on good caddies to help them move around the golf course, Sky Caddie has become the modern assistant that is not only knowledgeable but also very accurate. What does a caddie do? Well, carrying the golf crosses is not everything, the person for the job should have good information on the distances and be able to advise the player according to it. This kind of service enables the golf player to concentrate only on the execution of the shots; caddies are usually commonly employed by professional golfers and not by amateurish players.

Sky Caddie

A Sky Caddie device reduces all the downside of playing on unfamiliar course. With the help of Sky Caddie you can find out the distance between you and the potential targets on the golf course. The mapping and recording of this information is possible by the use of high tech survey-grade gear that stores all the data referring to the different geographical specificity of the golf course. An alternative to Sky Caddie, satellite images proved highly affordable but unreliable, and ceased to be used for golfing purposes. According to experts Sky Caddie will help you save almost five shots per game.

Sky Caddie

Various types of softwares can be uploaded on Sky Caddie to serve different purposes: thus, commentators at golf championships use the device in order to transmit viewers how far the golfers shoot and what the green or hazard rates are. Moreover, the use of Sky Caddie enables the creation of performance statistics for each golfer on every hole in the course. Such applications have caused great reviews for Sky Caddie from golfing experts who classify it as the most precise golf GPS system ever designed. All the courses that can be downloaded in Sky Caddie as they have been previously mapped by professionals.

Sky Caddie

With Sky Caddie you can measure both the depth and the shape of the green parts of the course as well as the angles and distances necessary for the shots. Sky Caddie comes with a water resistant case, a back light and a rechargeable battery, not to mention that you can use it with only one hand. Nevertheless, there is one disadvantage spotted so far in the design of Sky Caddie: you have to keep it dry permanently on rainy rounds. Other negative reviews point out the inability to use the mapping system even after uploading the course program. Under the circumstances the buyer needs to contact the manufacturing company in order to get a viable solution to the problem.

Topic Of Big Bertha FT-3 Produced by Callaway Golf

This Callaway Golf product incorporates what is known as fusion technology. This special technology alters and blends the weight of the driving head of the driver to compensate for the kind of dangle that the golfer is adventuring. This driver is known as the Big Bertha FT 3 fusion driver and there are 3 assorted types of this Callaway Golf driver to decide from.

Specifically, the driving head of these three types of Callaway Golf drivers in this line each weigh 44 grams. The difference in each of these 3 types is how the weight is altered and built into the driver.  There are three particular areas to the driver that make up the full 44 grams of weight. If the golfer, when driving the golf ball, experiences a fade or a slice, the appropriate Big Bertha FT-3 driver to select is the draw driver. The weight of this driver is heavier towards the opposite side of where the fade is experienced.

A golfer who experiences a hooking or a drawing with their drive is advised to select the fade style of this Callaway Golf driver.  In this type of driver the weight is shifted towards the opposite side of the experienced hook or draw.

The 3rd type of driver in this Big Bertha category is the neutral driver.  The full 44 grams of weight contained in the driver is, for the most part, positioned evenly amongst the three specific areas of the driver. The resulting effect of this fusion technology that is built into the Big Bertha FT 3 fusion driver compensates for the swing of the golfer that may be to either side of the center of gravity.  This compensation ultimately allows for the golfer to obtain a golfing drive that is straighter in projection.

Other features of this Callaway Golf driver include a face that is made from titanium.  In addition the design of this club allows for a larger area that is conducive to making contact with the golf ball.  These particular features, along with the fusion technology, allow for the golfer to achieve a distance that will improve their game.

Augusta National Golf Club: Interesting Details

Beginning in 1934, the Augusta national golf club has been the location of the prestigious Masters Tournament. The course is located in Augusta Georgia and is one of the most well known courses in the world and one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world. The course is located on land that used to be a tree nursery.

Beautiful Golf Course

The Augusta national golf club is filled with beautiful trees, flowers, as well as shrubs and every hole on the beautiful course has the name of a tree or a shrub that is located on the hole. In the earlier days it stood out from the rest of the golf courses due to the small number of bunkers it contained when compared to other golf courses and the width of the fairways on the course were different from the other quality golf courses.

Changes to the Course

Over the years several architects have made design changes to the Augusta national golf club course such as placing more bunkers on the course, decreasing the contours of the greens and placing more trees on the course and creating more rough areas. The greens at the Augusta course had a long tradition of being made from Bermuda grass; however in 1981 they were changed to being made from bent grass which provides the green with a faster surface and this is the primary factor for the decrease in the contours that were placed in the greens at the course.

Fans of the Augusta national golf club are probably familiar with the big oak tree that is located on the course side of the Augusta clubhouse and is thought to be between 145 and 150 years of age. The Eisenhower tree is a loblolly pine which is situated on the 17th hole of the Augusta national golf club course.

Historians of the course claim that the tree was hit with a golf ball numerous times by President Eisenhower and so he recommend that they remove the tree form the course. The chairman of the golf course at the time did not want to have to dismiss the recommendation of President Eisenhower and so he decided the best thing to do was close down the meeting.

Ike’s Pond was named after Eisenhower who at the time was a general. He had taken a walk in the woods on the eastern portion of the Augusta national Golf Club grounds and informed the chairman of the club that he had located a great place to create a pond. The pond was built based on his recommendation. The Augusta national golf club course is one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world.

Better Golf cart Maintenance Tips

How To Maintain Your Golf Cart Batteries

Here’s some tips to follow for the proper storage of your electric golf cart during winter:
First of all you should clean your batteries and ensure that all the cell caps are snugly attached. Then unplug the charger and wash the battery compartment. Start on one side of the golf cart and spray Battery Neutralizer all over the tops of the batteries.

if the battery racks are metal spray them too when you spray between batteries and inside the walls of body panels. Use an old paintbrush to scour all the battery tops and sides. Water from a garden hose using plain water, or use a solution of Baking Soda (about 2 tablespoons to 1 gallon of water) to neutralize the acid.

Check, clean, tighten and treat all of the battery terminal connections. Be sure the cables are tight to the post. Carefully wriggle each cable end side-to-side and then gently up & down. There should be no looseness or sideways movement. If your battery terminals are badly corroded, you will need to do some serious cleaning.

Check the water levels in each cell. Use distilled water to fill and be sure the electrolyte (water) in each battery cell is above the plates. In cold climates, when the cart will be left uncharged for several months, leave the water level a little low. This raises the specific gravity of the acid, which will help prevent freezing. Batteries tend to keep better in cold conditions rather than hot conditions providing the charge remains up.

A fully charged battery will not freeze until 60 to 70 below zero whereas a discharged battery can freeze at 20 degrees above zero. As a battery discharges, the acid turns into water by the basic chemical nature of the lead acid battery. The more discharge, the more water and the more likely it is to freeze. Also a dirty, acid covered battery will self-discharge at a faster rate than a clean treated battery, even in cooler temperatures.

Don't leave your electric golf cart plugged into the charger for extended periods of time. after you have finished charging, unplug the charger from the cart and also from the wall.

Leave the cart in Neutral and turn the key off. Either way, scotch the wheels so you can leave the hill brake released. This prevents strain on the cables and the brake shoes can't lock to the drums.

Charge your Golf Cart batteries for a few hours once a month during winter to maintain charge. The charger should be unplugged from the car and the wall after charging.

Finalize for winter storage by checking the tire pressures and inflate to 20-25 psi.
Roll down the rain curtains and zip them part way down. If you have to leave the car out in the open, or under an open shed, neatly fold the rain curtain and bring it in the house till spring. Very cold weather will cause the see through vinyl to become very brittle and a puff of wind will blow it out.

For additional information on electric golf cart batteries including how lead acid batteries work; how to use a hydrometer; charging batteries and troubleshooting golf cart batteries please visit Golf Cart Battery Tips.
