Hypnosis and Golf -- Are Your Partners Using It Against You?

In their hunger for a lower score, golfers will resort to almost anything.  Some focus not just on their game but on winning.

Hypnosis has become a mental training “secret weapon” for some knowledgeable golfers.  It can be a great way to develop concentration and clarity.

There’s a under aspect of hypnosis that I have to make you aware of.

It’s great to use it to improve your own game, but some people go farther and, how to put it delicately, “help” the rest of the foursome by wielding the power of a certain type of hypnosis.

When someone uses hypnosis this way, an adversary who may be may find themselves mysteriously missing shots they normally make, spending a lot of time in the rough, making poor club choices, deciding to try to carry the water when they shouldn’t, or making a lot other such mistakes.

There are any number of times over the course of 18 holes where a golfer makes decisions that affect their performance.

Not only that, but the difference between a good shot and a lousy one is extremely small.  The least imperfection ruins a shot and costs at least a stroke.

I’ll leave it to you to make your own decision about the right and wrong of this, but a specific style of hypnosis does give someone the tools to affect their opponent's state of mind as well as their decisions.  Some say “All’s fair in love and war”.  Maybe that’s true in golf as well.

Now you can’t totally control someone’s mind.  You can’t influence them to do something they find morally offensive.

But you are able to put out suggestions or create doubt in such way that their thought process is definitely affected.

You may have played with a jerk that used tactics like carrying on a mildly heckling conversation while you’re addressing your tee shot, or moving suddenly at the edge of your field of vision while you're putting or other dumb tricks like that to try to put you off your game.

Wouldn’t you like to have a way to repay the favor?  That’s what hypnosis can give you.

Conversational hypnosis works especially well for this type of influence.  Using this method of hypnosis there’s no predetermined script.  You definitely don't swing a watch in front of the subjects eyes.

Rather, you just talk, but in certain way.  Once you discover how, it’s no problem to induce an “awake trance”.  Then you can weave your suggestions and embedded commands into the flow of talk.  This type of hypnosis is a most powerful use of words.

A great benefit about mastering this form of hypnosis to help your golf game is that once you learn it you can apply it for anything.

People very successfully use hypnosis to improve their relationships, change habits, and attain goals – you can use it for anything where you'd like to harness the power of the subconscious (your own or another person's).
